If you want to create seperation from the crowded pool of ODs looking for a job, then focus on your strengths. So many of us ODs, myself included, want and feel like we should be good at everything in primary care optometry. There is no shame in not knowing everything. However, when you bring to the table an expertise in children’s exams or ocular disease or optical dispensary, you have created value. Increasing marketability is increasing the value that you add to a practice.
